Work Rights During Study
• The students are permitted to work for 20 hours per week in University days and 40 hours per week during off season.
• Students studying at a University below degree level are eligible to work up to 10 hours per week when their program is in session and full time during vacations.
• Those students studying at a government funded college are eligible to work up to 10 hours per week and full time during vacations.
• For private college there is no work right for international students.
Post Study Work Rights
UK Government announced the creation of a new graduate immigration route. The route will be
open to international students who entered the UK in the academic year 2020/21 onwards and have
completed a degree at undergraduate level or above at reputable higher education institutions.
Successful applicants on this route will be able to stay and work, or look for work, in the UK for a
maximum period of two years. Graduates will also be able to switch into skilled work visas once they
have found a suitable job.
Scholarship Opportunities
UK universities always offer scholarships to high achievers. Scholarship varies per University and
Course. An average scholarship range offered by UK universities is £1000 – £4000.
